RADC 2023 Calendar, Posters, Dues, and Feb 7 Meeting Details

First of all, this month’s meeting will be at Serious Texas BBQ Loveland at 7 pm on Tuesday, February 7. Please join us.

As the date approaches, we may share updated info on our Facebook page.

Second, this is a very special year for our club. We are celebrating 15 years since the Rare Air Dub Club came into being! In recognition, we are creating a commemorative posters instead of a shirt this year. When you pay dues, $25, you get one of the poster designs, and a sticker for your car. Below are the first three of many poster samples. They are 18 x 24 inches, on semi gloss paper. I’ll add some of the others on our Facebook page as I get them uploaded. They include most of the most popular shirt designs from the past 15 years, as well as a few new designs. Keep an eye out for links to PayPal and Venmo to pay dues online.

Finally, we typically meet on the first Tuesday of the month. If that Tuesday falls on the first of the month, or a National Holiday, we usually skip to the next month, just to keep everyone on their toes. As of today, here’s our best guess for 2023 dates for club meetings and other events:

  • March 7 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • April 4 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • April/May? – Painters Grinding Dub Roast – date TBD
  • May 9 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • May 21 – VWs on the Green
  • June 6 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • July? Bug-In Bandimere – date TBD
  • July 11- Club Meeting – location TBA
  • August? – Ed Carroll Show – date TBD
  • August 8 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • September 12 – Club Meeting/Estes Cruise?
  • October – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • November 14 – Club Meeting – location TBA
  • Dec 2, 8, and 16 – possible Holiday Lights dates
  • December 5 – Club Meeting – location TBA

We hope to see you Tuesday.

January Club Meeting at the Matador on Jan 10

You may have noticed we did not meet on the First Tuesday of the month this month. Instead, we’re meeting next Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Join us at 7 pm at the Matador Mexican Grill at 1823 East Harmony Road in Ft. Collins. Between tasty bites we’ll discuss club calendar events for the year.

As the date approaches, we may share updated info on our Facebook page.

FIVE MORE Holiday Lights Cruises!

Thanks to everyone who made last Saturday’s Holiday Light Cruise SO much fun. But don’t pack up those lights just yet! We have FIVE more bug light events yet this season!

First, on Saturday, December 10, we’ll do it all again. We’ll meet at JAX Farm & Ranch (Loveland West) at 5:30 pm and head south through Loveland first. Details will appear on this event page as I learn them.

Then, the week of December 19-22, our decked-out dubs have been invited to participate in the Santa tour with Windsor/Severance Fire. For four days, they circulate through different subdivisions throughout Windsor and Severance with Santa Claus riding on top of a giant fire engine! This is open for anybody that wants to deck out their car and cruise with Santa Claus! And hopefully we can turn this into a really cool thing from now on. Four nights:

  • Monday, Dec 19, 5-8 pm
  • Tuesday, Dec 20, 5-8 pm
  • Wednesday, Dec 21, 5-8 pm
  • Thursday, Dec 22, 5-8 pm

Interested? Meet us at 100 N 7th St, Windsor, CO 80550. Here’s that event page.

If anything else comes up last minute, we’ll probably share it on our Facebook page. See you soon!

Holiday Lights Cruise: Sat, Dec 3

While we don’t want to eclipse this month’s meeting (Tuesday, November 15, 7 pm at Serious Texas BBQ in Loveland) we continue to gear up for our annual holiday lights cruise on Saturday, December 3, starting at 5:30 pm. Please join us at Ed Carroll Motor Company in Ft. Collins.

We will meet at Ed Carroll to decorate and discuss the route for the evening. This event is weather permitting – if the weather is not cooperating, we will postpone to the following Saturday, December 10, at the same time and place.

If anything comes up last minute, we’ll probably share it on our Facebook page. See you soon!

September Club Events

Hi friends,

We will not have a “regular” Tuesday night meeting this month, but have a lot of other things instead!

First, we had a car show in Windsor today. Want advance notice? Our Facebook page is updated first.

Second, there’s a GoodGuys car show September 9th,10th, and 11th. at the Larimer County fairgrounds.

Check out my conversation with the welcoming GoodGuys folks here.

Third, on Sunday September 25th, we’ll cruise to Estes Park. We’ll meet in Loveland at Jacks (on the corner of Wilson and 34) at 8 am. There is a group interested in camping in or around the Drake Campground on the Saturday night before the cruise, then joining the main group as we head up the canyon on Sunday.

Unlike past years past we will be meeting and driving up from Loveland, rather than Longmont through Lyons and up. We will mix it up by driving through Glen Haven on our way to Estes Park. There are some great pull offs for pics along that route. Once in Estes Park we will make our way to the Estes Park Brewery for lunch. From there we set a meeting time to head back down the canyon if people are interested. Otherwise you can hang out, tour the town, go into the park (requires a reservation time slot), or head back any time on your own.

Check out Bryan V’s event post for more details.

See you soon!

Club Meeting on Tuesday, August 9

This month’s meeting will be on Tuesday, August 9, not the “first Tuesday of the month.” Why? Well, it snuck up on us, and then there’s sunspots. And politics. Please join us at Serious Texas BBQ Loveland. The meeting starts at 7, but most folks show up earlier to eat.

As the date approaches, we may share updated info on our Facebook page.

We hope to see you there!

July Club Meeting on Tuesday, July 12

We’re continuing the Club Meeting Summer Series, which means we’re still mixing up the dates and locations. This month our meeting will be at 7 pm on Tuesday, July 12 at Serious Texas BBQ in Loveland. My guess is we’ll probably make plans to go to the Bug In as a group.

Remember, as any meeting date approaches, we may share updated info on our Facebook page. We hope to see you there!
